Children who have difficulty reading printed books can find themselves missing out on all the enjoyment, comfort and relaxation a great story can bring.  If your child finds it difficult to read in the usual way, Listening Books can help! Listening Books is a national charity that provides a postal and online audiobook library service to children and adults who struggle to read or hold printed books due to an illness, disability, mental health or learning difficulty, and they have recently received funding to offer a number of FREE memberships to people living in Nottinghamshire who would find membership fees (£20-£45 per year) a barrier to joining the service.  There are 1000s of titles to listen to including educational audiobooks supporting the National Curriculum, and much-loved authors such as JK Rowling and Roald Dahl.  Titles are available to download and stream through the website or app, or as MP3 CDs sent through the postage (no postage costs or late fees), and our friendly library team are on hand to help by phone or email.

How to apply: If your child would benefit from Listening Books please get in touch! Visit our website, or contact Jo Cord on 020 7407 9417 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
