School Action / Early Years Action
When a class teacher, subject teacher or special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) identifies that your child has needs that are additional to or different from those provided as part of the school’s normal curriculum planning, the following will happen.

School Action Plus / Early Years Action Plus
At School Action Plus, external support provided by the LEA and by outside agencies will usually be involved with your child. These can help with specialist assessment, specialist strategies or materials for school-based staff to use. Some specialist staff may work with your child.

For a few children with complex needs, a statement of special educational needs may be issued by the LEA. If your child has a statement, please contact us for our information leaflets.
