Parent Partnership Service believes all children, young persons and their families have the right to a positive educational and life experience. We are actively working towards this by listening and working in partnership with:
• Parents
• Schools and LEAs
• Other service providers
1) Mediating
• Listening and responding to the views of parents and children, promoting the rights of children, young people and parents.
• Resolving conflicts and preventing disputes between schools, parents and LEAs.
2) Influencing
• Encouraging parents and children to take an active role in community and strategic planning through consultation and making inclusion a reality.
3) Supporting
• Empowering parents and children to make appropriate, informed decisions.
• Providing one-to-one support and group support for parents.
• Agencies to work together.
4) Linking
• Parents with each other through conferences and support groups.
• Parents to services through signposting.
5) Informing
• Providing information and advice via a telephone helpline, website, leaflets and newsletter.
• Providing training.
